Like some horror movie phantom, he needs to be ousted again and again. But the interludes between his visits keep getting longer and i am getting better at being my own buffy- slaying this personal demon and sending him packing every time. I'm not sure I'll ever bury him completely. I'll ride the highs and lows, appreciating the good times and knowing the bad ones can't last forever. I am bigger and stronger than him. He just doesn't know it yet.
